Lib Dems welcome more residents into Meadvale & St. Johns ward.

December 3, 2004 12:00 AM

Reigate Lib Dem Group Leader and Meadvale & St. Johns ward Councillor, Steve Kulka recently spotted errors between the geographical ward boundaries and the electoral role. "When the detailed maps of the ward boundaries were made available, I could see that something was wrong", he added. "It was a surprise to discover that the maps and the road list on the electoral role didn't match up".

After highlighting the discrepancies to the Electoral Officer at the Town Hall, the errors were corrected promptly and will apply from 1st December 2004.

The errors were made in the translation of the new ward boundaries when the Register of Electors was prepared in January/February 2000.

The properties affected are :-

1-42 Ridgeway Court, Ridgeway Road. Moved from Redhill East ward. 42 properties and 61 electors.

Garlands Cottage, Ridgeway Road. Moved from Redhill East ward. 1 property and 2 electors.

28 and 29, Whitepost Hill. Moved from Reigate Central. 2 properties and 4 electors.

2-38, Park Lane East. Moved from South Park & Woodhatch ward. 19 properties and 38 electors.

Steve Kulka said "Graham Norman and I will be contacting all these residents shortly to welcome them into Meadvale & St. Johns ward".
