Fund the Harlequin Theatre sufficiently so it can be maintained as a vibrant part of Redhill.
Ensure that leisure centres across the whole Borough are kept open and are enhanced for use by the community.
Work for improvements to our open spaces that both protect the flora and fauna and keep them accessible for all.
Make improvements to lighting & road signs that enhance the local environment and increase safety and security.
Liberal Democrats were the first to introduce home-recycling facilities in this area. We now want to enhance this service to include the collection of plastic and glass from home.
We have limited outdoor sporting facilities in this area and it is vital that these are retained - especially now the Olympics have been awarded to London.
Tory run Surrey County Council are proposing the closure of two of our Youth Centres. We are vehemently opposed to this and are working with residents to save them.
The pavements and roads all over this Borough are in an awful state of repair. We need real investment from the highways department. Lib Dems are working for significant and visible improvement.
After successfully getting 20 mph speed limits outside of some schools, we want to continue the introduction of this important safety measure outside of every school in the Borough.
