The residents of Frenches Road are extremely frustrated with the bus barrier in Frenches Road.
I was at the Surrey County Highways meeting long ago, where the original decision was made. It was agreed at that the operation would be monitored and reviewed. Everyone assumed that if it didn't work the barrier would be removed.
The inconvenience it causes to local people is not the only problem. The barrier bollards often refuse to operate and neither buses nor emergency vehicles are able to get through to people in other local roads.
Even more disturbing, the locals have tried to make their case to local Tory Councillors with a diary of photographic evidence, with virtually zero response.
