Money paid to local worthy causes.
Cllrs. Steve Kulka and Graham Norman have Donated £2,000 of Council Community Award money to organisations that provide good works in Meadvale and St. Johns. The details of the five awards are shown below.
St. Johns School received £300 to help create a pond as part of the continued redevelopment of the school garden. The facility is used as a teaching aid.
The 34th Reigate (Meadvale) Scout Group received a £500 contribution towards the replacement of the Scout group minibus. This has now been purchased.
The Action for Life charity received a £200 award, to help towards the organising of Walks for Health that are run from the Woodhatch Community Centre.
Arthritis Care received a £500 contribution towards the cost of hiring an exercise teacher and to enable them to run a local advertising campaign for their meetings in the Woodhatch Community Centre.
Furnistore received £500 to help fund an advertising campaign through Raven Housing Trust.
