Tory controlled Surrey County Council will cut Boroughs bus routes

Catch the last bus

News released today shows that Surrey County Council are soon to start a series of cuts and alterations to bus routes in the Borough. The first phase will affect the 430, the 435 and others.

The 430 between Meadvale and St. Johns Park will be withdrawn.

The 435 between Whitebushes and Reigate will be withdrawn.

SCC are also considering the 649 (St. Bede's), the 657 (East Surrey College), the 660 (Oakwood School), the 658 & 677 (Reigate School) and the 324, 657 & 677 (Reigate College).

Bus services are currently considered to be essential by all levels of government to limit congestion, CO2 pollution and to maintain mobility for students on the school run and also people without the use of a car.
