Steve has lived in the Borough for 32 years and is married to Jane for 37 years. They have two grown children who attended local schools, colleges and university.

Steve is a freelance IT and electrical engineer and has been a Councillor for Meadvale and St. Johns ward for the past 16 years.

He is a member of the Planning Committee and has a keen interest in environmental issues. He uses an electric car and scooter where appropriate to conduct local council business.

He has campaigned successfully for the completion of six pedestrian crossings and the reinstatement of footpaths for residents walking their children to school.

Supported residents in successfully opposing the siting of seven mobile phone masts in the ward.

Helped those involved in numerous campaigns against unsuitable over developments.

Successfully lobbied for many of our roads to be resurfaced. ­

Helped those who have unfortunately been made homeless.

Helped with numerous parking issues in residential roads, along with potholes, damaged kerbs and drains.

Lobbied Surrey County Council to retain the bus routes through Meadvale and St. Johns.

Highlighted the concerns of many parents over the pressure on school places in our area.

Supported organisations financially in our area that benefit residents through the Councillors' Community Grant Fund,

e.g. Furnistore, Welcare, Meadvale Scouts, Hi Days and Arthritis Care.

He also involves himself in local Community groups including the Woodhatch Community Association.
