Victoria Nunn

Horley West, Salfords & Sidlow

For over twenty years, Victoria has dedicated herself to the local area, providing invaluable support to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families. As a qualified educational professional, she tirelessly advocates for additional resources, partnering with local charities and managing her own consultancy. As a SEND parent herself, Victoria fully understands the frustrations and isolation that parents experience when seeking support for their children.

Through collaboration with families and organisations across East Surrey, Victoria has uncovered a pressing need for increased support for families in Horley, which is often overlooked when resources are distributed. Concerned about the inadequate assistance for families with SEND, Victoria has taken the initiative to establish her own support group at the community centre. This proactive step not only addresses the immediate needs of these families but also advocates for the urgent attention they deserve. By supporting Victoria’s efforts, we can stand against the Council’s persistent neglect of these children and work towards a more equitable future for all.

Victoria actively engages with community members, consistently hearing their concerns that special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are just one aspect of a broader set of challenges. Residents of Horley face significant infrastructural issues, like pervasive road closures and hazardous potholes. Furthermore, the scarcity of social care options and environmental problems such as flooding and pollution create substantial barriers to daily life. These urgent matters affect all of us and require immediate attention. By addressing these issues, we can transform Horley, Salfords and Sidlow into vibrant communities where families not only survive but thrive, where businesses grow, and where everyone can enjoy an enhanced quality of life.

Victoria’s knowledge, experience, and passion for reducing social injustice ensure she can effectively serve the community. Her unwavering commitment to addressing the resource shortages faced by children and adults in Horley guarantees that she will advocate for a better deal for all.
