- Local people trust the Liberal Democrats - they hold 75% of the District and Borough Council seats across the constituency.
- Labour have declared Dorking & Horley is not a target seat for them - in Mole Valley they never finished better than 3rd. Across Horley in the May Local Elections Labour finished 4th.
- The Green Party are a distant 4th (or 5th) here - their supporters are telling us they will vote tactically at the General Election.

Will my three little girls find good jobs when they grow up and be able to afford to live around here? Will the NHS still be there to care for them? My career has taken me from The City to the British Army fighting ISIS terrorists in the deserts of Iraq. Now I'm campaigning for change.
We deserve better than a government whose choices have caused so much damage. For decades this area has had Conservative MPs, and they take your vote for granted. Now, recent polling across Surrey shows many of you are fed-up and want change. The Lib Dems are level with the Conservatives in the polls in Dorking & Horley. I promise, if you put your faith in me at the ballot box, I will fight harder than I’ve ever done to give you, and your children, the country and future you all deserve."
2024 will almost certainly see a General Election and it can’t come too soon. Many people have told me that they are fed up with being taken for granted by this Government. They worrythe Conservatives are completely out of touch with the residents they are supposed to represent, preoccupied with fighting amongst themselves.
I was brought up to believe that an MP is elected to serve their community. It’s the same sense of service that motivated my experience at the Foreign Office, in the Army Reserve, and as founder of an international charity.
It’s a sense of service I share with the heroes who work for our NHS and Care Services - despite everything, the Conservatives have always taken them for granted too.
I am standing to be your next MP. With your support, I will fight to restore our great NHS. And, I will stand-up for our communities in Parliament.
Chris's priorities
- Immediate support for those worst hit by the cost of living crisis, including real action on food and energy bills.
- investment in Social Care to unblock hospital beds and help to fix the worst NHS waiting lists since recording began.
- A new Water regulator with real powers to protect our rivers from being used as sewage dumps.
